Symphony of War instal1/18/2024 Maces deal 25% additional damage to heavy armor (before being mitigated, if I'm not wrong). Arrows deal reduced damage to anything Heavy but the Crossbows also calculate in an increase versus Heavy. Don't forget that Morale, if below ~50% (below "Good") will deal decreased damage. I can't possibly describe every case here.Ī unit might provide cover (all Heavy or Light Infantry/Cavalry) which provides a 40% damage reduction buff directly behind them and 20% in the row furthest back. Holy units have the trait "Magic Armor" which allows them to apply a portion of their armor against magic damage and that doesn't include the technology that grants a similar effect. A character might have increased dodge/deflect chance based on terrain or if they're on offense or not (Light Infantry/Light Cavalry). Champions now have "Guardian" which mitigates 25% of damage on defense. You will also note that "traits" exist on every entry because traits affect everything. Some classes come with built-in additional features, like the Samurai now coming with increased base dodge, the Sentinel coming with increased firearms resistance, Dwagons using both STR/MAG for their magic damage output and having 0 dodge chance, etc. Enemy SKL does all the same things in reverse. SKL provides you higher hit chance, increased crit chance, reduced enemy % to deflect damage, and increased dodge chance. Things that will increase healing received from others: MAG, Traits Things that will increase healing given to others: MAG, Weapon, Traits Things that will decrease damage from magical attacks: MAG, Traits Things that will increase damage for magical attacks: MAG, Weapon, Traits Things that will decrease damage from physical attacks: STR, Armor, Traits Things that will increase damage for physical attacks: STR, Weapon, Traits TL DR: There's a lot that goes into an attack and the commander, essentially, only needs to know which stats are good to up for a specific unit and not how they come together. There's so many moving parts that determine damage dealt from one troop to another that there's no reason for you to know the exact math behind an attack. Those numbers are kinda purposefully obfuscated.
